From April 16 to 18, 2026, the China Urban
Water Supply and Drainage Association 2026 Annual Conference and Urban Water
Technology & Product Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as the "Water
Association Annual Conference") was held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition
& Convention Center. As a highly influential exchange platform for the
water industry, this year's conference brought together more than 300
organizations from across the entire industry chain.
Under the theme "Break Barriers, Trace
Sources, Drive Efficiency," Kaifa Technology showcased its high-quality,
fully proprietary water metering products and latest technological achievements.
The company focused on core industry issues such as leakage control and
digitally-enabled operations, presenting integrated solutions tailored to
real-world water utility scenarios.
As the nation accelerates the construction of
modern water networks, the water industry is being driven to upgrade toward
greater refinement, intelligence, and green development. However, traditional
leakage control methods have shown limited effectiveness in practice, with
issues such as data silos gradually emerging, making it difficult to support
water utilities' needs for refined operations and cost reduction with increased
efficiency. Based on a deep understanding of the industry's development stage
and the operational pain points of water utilities, Kaifa Technology proposed a
new approach to leakage control centered on conceptual upgrading, data collaboration,
and results orientation, helping water utilities enhance metering accuracy and
operational efficiency.
Breaking Down Conceptual Barriers, Building New Ideas for Smart Leakage Control
At the exhibition, Kaifa Technology embraced
green and low-carbon as its core concept, integrating panda and Chengdu
regional elements to create an open, friendly, and futuristic immersive display
space. The exhibition vividly presented a full-link smart leakage management
system—from metering perception and data collaboration to decision
support—conveying an innovative approach that breaks through traditional
thinking barriers and reshapes leakage control models.
Guided by this approach, Kaifa Technology
showcased a high-quality water metering product portfolio covering multiple
application scenarios, including residential and industrial and commercial
ultrasonic water meters, large-diameter wide-range electromagnetic water
meters, non-full pipe low-power electromagnetic flow meters, and a new
generation of high-pressure-resistant in-line electromagnetic flow meters. This
comprehensively presented an intelligent metering system built on IoT
technology, integrating precise metering, real-time remote transmission, and
situational awareness. At the same time, the company also exhibited an
integrated leakage control solution spanning hardware to software and data
collection to intelligent decision-making, deeply presenting a full-chain
business practice model of "product + platform + service" to help
water utilities comprehensively improve leakage control effectiveness and
operational efficiency.
Beyond the exhibition booth, Kaifa Technology further deepened the interpretation of leakage control practices through on-site thematic presentations. On the opening day of the Water Association Annual Conference, Ms. Ma Yue, a senior expert in smart water, a professor-level senior engineer, and general manager of Kaifa Technology's domestic water business unit, delivered a thematic presentation titled "Personalized Interpretation of the new edition of the Water Supply Regulations" at the Kaifa Technology booth.
Ms. Ma Yue stated: "The Regulations place rigid constraints on water source protection, water quality compliance, and water pressure compliance, while water pricing is closely linked to costs. Uncontrolled non-revenue water (NRW) directly leads to revenue loss and incurs costs that cannot be factored into pricing. Pipeline leakage not only increases the NRW ratio but also triggers water pressure fluctuations and rising water quality risks, exacerbating water resource waste and operational pressure. Kaifa Technology, with its integrated solutions for smart leakage control, dynamic pressure regulation, precise metering, and full-process monitoring, helps water utilities achieve a win-win in safe water supply and improved profitability." The practical and professional presentation resonated strongly with the audience, attracting many water utility representatives and industry experts for in-depth discussions.
Deepening Industry Exchanges, Focusing on Consensus in Leakage Control Practices
Through this Water Association Annual
Conference, Kaifa Technology engaged in deep dialogue with industry partners on
topics such as leakage control and smart water construction. Its innovative
approach to leakage control received widespread attention and positive
feedback. Many water utility representatives stated that Kaifa Technology's
full-link leakage control approach closely aligns with the current needs of
water utilities for precise metering, leakage reduction, efficiency
improvement, and quality enhancement, providing a valuable reference for
subsequent industry implementation.
As the industry enters a new phase of transformation and upgrading, Kaifa Technology will continue to focus on the practical operational pain points of water utilities. Centered on the evolution of smart metering technologies and the application of leakage control scenarios, the company will further refine its integrated solutions for operations management. At the same time, Kaifa Technology will strengthen collaboration with industry partners to promote the coordinated application of technology, data, and management practices, consistently providing solid support for the digital, intelligent, and green high-quality development of the water industry.
