Kaifa Technology Creates a Tens-of-Millions-Level Metering System, Empowering Central Asia's Energy Digital Transformation

Release Time:2026-06-17

As an important partner in the Belt and Road Initiative, Uzbekistan has in recent years accelerated the modernization of its energy sector.

In 2015, Kaifa Technology initiated the R&D of Uzbekistan's national energy metering system project. After years of dedicated effort, the company successfully built the country's national Central Advanced Metering Infrastructure (Central AMI System, hereafter referred to as the CAS System) and signed a long-term operation and maintenance agreement.

This highly customized system, independently developed by Kaifa Technology, has been serving all 14 first‑level administrative divisions of Uzbekistan since its commissioning — covering 12 provinces, 1 autonomous republic, and 1 municipality directly under the central government, benefiting nearly 38 million residents across the country.

Designed for national‑level energy metering scenarios, the CAS System establishes a closed‑loop data management process that spans terminal access, communication collection, data verification, abnormal data re‑collection, and billing support. The system is designed with a metering device capacity of 20 million units, and has already connected over 10 million units. It is compatible with more than 50 models of smart meters from multiple manufacturers. On a single day, it can stably process over 1 billion pieces of multi‑source data — including load curves, events, communication logs, and externally sourced data — supporting the unified collection, aggregation, and analysis of nationwide power data.

As a large‑scale and successful practice of a China‑developed AMI system in Central Asia, Kaifa Technology's Uzbekistan project sets a new benchmark for green energy
